Well, they're still alive, but they're constantly under the threat of cancellation apparently. the only thing keeping them up is apparently their TiVo rating is pretty high compared to other shows.

I guess I never said anything like "yeah, I'll be back tomorrow," more like "yeah, sure I'd like to come back." But no, I still feel like a jerk having done that :)
I think community service is a much more productive form of punishment for light incursions, versus jail time or even fines; At least there's a chance someone's life can really be changed for the better in the future, and we get to help out people and organizations that really need it.
Of course, I do say this knowing that I didn't come back... but I certainly have kept out of trouble since!
From what I've heard Joel Silver also has a commemorative frisbee on his desk in his office at Warner Brothers :)
Ultimate Frisbee was invented in my high school, Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ, by none other than Matrix/Lethal Weapon/Speed Racer/Predator producer Joel Silver when he was a student there! There's a plaque on a rock in our school parking lot where the first game was played :)
