dude, the movie was awesome. I loved it. It's not so much that it was different from the book as it was that they put everything in and didn't go very in depth on it. There was a battle scene or so that was either left out or kinda short, and there was a serious lacking on the romance that occured, it was barely there! But over all it was still pretty cool in my opinion, can't wait for the next one <3
I must say I was tired of reading the same idea over and over again...but I haven't read one like yours, awesomeness =)

I must say that I am absolutely in love with all of Anne Rice's stuff. I'm actually in the middle of reading one of her books right now. Her vampires are just such complex characters and I think she does an amazing job of interacting with their different personalities. Her vampire series has everything: love, bisexuality, murder, self-loathing, passion, adventure, mystery. I may be a little obsessed...<3
Specifically this summer I have read the Twilight series and I didn't much like it, and now I'm reading Merrick, a book which mixes Anne Rice's witch genre and vampire genre
