Did anyone catch Merlin last week? It was awesome! What did you think? Any favorite character so far? I like Gaius. :) He's such a sweet man. Anyone else think the layout of the show was predictable? I didn't mind and kind of liked that actually. I loved the song in the 1st episode - so pretty.

I hear that season 2 will start filming in September. I hope it's picked up as well.

For those who didn't watch - it's about Merlin and King Aurthur and all the characters from the myths in their youths.

Which is last week? xD I don't want to spoil anything for you. ;)

It is a little predictable, because of the whole 'fate' thing. Of course, the scales always have to tip so that it will come out in the favour of Merlin and Arthur... Which makes it a little frustrating sometimes...

And it's not really about their youths... In many legends, Merlin is usually depicted an old man, but of course, because we can never really know the truth (certainly, what is truth and what is fiction about this whole matter anyway), there have been possibilities raised that perhaps Merlin could have in fact been a young man (man at all? xD Haha... nah). The usual legend of Arthur doesnt have him living with his father at all, and Uther is dead before Arthur can meet him anyway. So although well known characters appear here and there in the story, this series is in fact only very loosely based on the legend of King Arthur.

Especially with the whole Morgana and Mordred and yada yada thing going on...

I've only seen 4 episodes so please no spoilers. I am quite in love with the show!

Yeah it is a bit predictable, however there's something charming about it!

l like the change of how the stories are told and showing how Arthur and Merlin could've been. Though I need to look up the characters - I've forgotten who Morgana is (is that Morgan le Fay or is she Arthur's mother?)

Harrower, it's a great show. It's worth watching - esp if you like fantsy stuff.

I really think that Arthur is a sweet heart even though he asks like a complete jerk sometimes and I like Gauis he so funny sometimes and he brings a lot more maturity to the show I love the so much so far its awesome.

Oh I agree 100% with that. Arthur has a soft side and he cares a lot for Merlin I believe. I love Gaius as well - very interesting character.

Oh, cool! I do get the BBC. I'll have to check it out. I hear Dr. Who is good.

I'm going to watch Robin Hood after Merlin's over. I have both seasons and I'll need something to tide me over while I wait for Merlin to come back on. I hope season 2 has 22 episodes instead of 13.

Ha!, I loved that episode. It was brilliant. I started watching Merlin and It took me forever to realize why on earth he looked so familiar.

:)

This year-long break with Doctor Who, has been killing me. Then again, I don't want it to end, because seeing David Tennant go, will be a sad day indeed.
