my family and the toilets
my dad and grandfather pretending to be egghead sculptures.... they don't really look like sculpted eggs to me though...
two years ago i was obsessed with junkyard photography. i went to junkyards on the weekend and was always on the lookout for new places to shoot. i was in colorado visiting family, and my grandfather told me about this great junkyard out on the edge of town that was filled with old toilets, bathtubs, stoves, and other appliances. my dad and grampy came along with me, and goofed around while i tried to be all artsy and creative. at one point they saw two toilets back to back and it reminded them of Robert Arneson's egghead sculptures in Davis CA, so they pretended they were egghead sculptures talking to eachother (bizarre, i know). i love this photo i took of them fooling around, even if it isn't of great artistic value. they are both goofballs, and this picture captured their personalities perfectly. yay for my grampy and daddy!
