My best and worst dates

My best date was one that officially bonded me and a guy five years older than me. He had always taken care of me and I once thought he was my close-distant relative. Later when I found out that he was just my cousin's best friend, I realized that we hanged out too much, almost as if he had romantic feelings for me. I was too embarrassed to confess during the date. We just sat there and chatted. I then excused myself and escaped to the bathroom, pulling out my cellphone and SOSed my younger sister. I asked her to ask him if he was interested in me, while I eavesdropped on their conversation before returning to the table, he admitted that he liked me too. It was a great date with a little schemed help; siblings serve as great cupids.

My worst date was when a guy and I hanged out, and he suddenly held my hands tightly on the way back home. He blurted out if I could go out with him, but being an immigrant and not so acquainted with the use of "going out" having double meanings, such as going outside and dating. So I told him, sure, let's go outside and play with snow. He questioned me again and again, until I finally understood his meaning, and plainly told him, "I don't think I am ready yet. If we could go outside, it would be fine though."
