I know it's creepy Corbin, but clearly finding the locket means you're meant to follow what the dreams are telling you. Mystery man said, "you're on the right path" and then gave you the locket. Maybe what you're looking for is in that locket. It's worth a shot, right? Even if it is uber creeptastic.
