Awwh, you learned a good lesson.
You should have went through with helping out again. I would feel terrible if I told them I'd go back then never do it.
Buuut to each his own I suppose.
At least you did some community service.

I guess I never said anything like "yeah, I'll be back tomorrow," more like "yeah, sure I'd like to come back." But no, I still feel like a jerk having done that :)

At least you helped once.
Even doing something just once (or however many times) can help make a difference.
I don't think the girls would be too mad if they saw you again.
Hope you really did have fun. :)

I think community service is a much more productive form of punishment for light incursions, versus jail time or even fines; At least there's a chance someone's life can really be changed for the better in the future, and we get to help out people and organizations that really need it.

Of course, I do say this knowing that I didn't come back... but I certainly have kept out of trouble since!

Challenge

Tell us about a time you did community service.

Summary

I'm made to perform community service due to some unpleasantness in New Jersey. I dutifully do my job, but what happens when I get asked whether or not I'd return to service, this time as a volunteer?
