Psychics have been reading minds for years, but what if that ability was the only thing separating these amazing creatures from total destruction.
Ok so we all know vampires have amazing telepathic ablilities that rival even the most amazing "psychic." what if this ability was how they could tell each other apart from humans. Vampires would emit a different brain wavelength that would be obvious to other vampires, but we humans would be completely oblivious to it. And not only could the Vamps tell each other apart from human, it could allow them to tell each other apart as well. Like how old the Vamp is, where he's from, what tribe (or whatever they call them, I know for witches its a coven, but not sure about the vamps) they belong to. Mostly it would be something that us human could never pick up on.

I'm fouring this, just because its so much more creative than a lot of the submissions, even mine. But like its been said, its not very applicable--
But, I guess if you were close to someone who was a vampire their telepathic abilities might be a little obvious unless they were super good at hiding it. I

Hey, I didn't think your entry was bad. I was just trying to inform you. You're allowed to enter more than one submission, and you can EDIT submissions too.
Also, Charlaine Harris has a telepath as her main character, and since her character tends to read vampire minds on a "I had vamp blood" basis, I wouldn't use that idea in a submission since it's copyrighted. For all you know, someone might say you were copying her, even though I know you aren't. But don't get all sad over not knowing things. I was just trying to help, and now I feel like you're thinking I was a jerk. :( Maybe I should just stop trying to help people.

I have two problems with this:
1. Corbin isn't a psychic, and probably wouldn't know where to find one.
2: Psychics are NOT telepaths! There's a huge difference. Both Telepaths and Empaths do not work the same way Psychics do. Psychics are the Claires: Clear knowing, feeling, tasting, smelling. Telepaths wouldn't be able to read a vampire's mind because they're *dead.* Dead brains don't give off brainwaves.
Now, a Medium might pick something up because they work with spirits. Once again, a Medium is not a psychic.
I'm both an Empath and Psychic, so I do know what I'm talking about. About.com will also give you some good info.

But how could Corbin. . . a human tell if someone is a vampire? She couldn't pick up on that.
