Not the worst but the best in my life

Certain actions and words during the date will determine the fate of the date and relationship.

This is one of those stories when it could be seen as normal or just another date, but I think it's worth to talk about anyway.

Last year I went through a break up that was mutual. It wasn't too heart breaking or anything. To be honest, I was getting tired of this previous relationship because all the guy seem to talk about were the power rangers and reirangers, which are the power rangers in Japan but of another element or theme. He wasn't quite the normal guy. He lacked social skills and I got frustrated a lot of times, especially when he expected me to have huge boobs. (Darling, huge boobs only exist in hentai and that p-word.)

Fast forward to the good part: I was hanging out with my co-workers at a small gathering and I met my boyfriend here. He was charming but I was really flattered at his advances. But the only thing that I felt really girly and happy about was when he kissed my hand before I left the party. So why not give love another chance?

Although I was expecting a normal date, like getting picked up, it was the other way around. I didn't mind that much but it was different. I waited outside his house for him and he ran out of his house carrying his shoes. He looked like he just stepped out of the shower. He put on his shoes and then started walking coolly to me. I couldn't help smiling at that strut.

We both went into my car and I headed off to a nearby Thai restaurant, which was suggested by our mutual friend. We parked and headed to the restaurant and got a table. It was our first time in this restaurant so we had a few awkward moments of silence as we browsed through the menu. It turned out that we both were indecisive, so we left the decision to the waiter.

The food was surprisingly good, and we ended up talking a lot. We made a lot of jokes and asked each other questions about each other, but we mainly brought up how we know our mutual friend. There was one point when I sighed and placed my elbows on the table to prop up my chin. He grinned and said that I looked cute. I felt bashful and felt my face turning red.

Afterwards we walked to the car together. But right before I could unlock the car, he seemed hesitant about something so I asked what was up. After a few seconds, he gave up and asked if it was okay to kiss me. I was surprised at the question but I said that I didn't kiss on the first few dates. He was okay with it but that left a really good impression on me. I was still thinking about it after I dropped him off till the moment I was falling asleep.

The next day we went to the movies and kissed after the movie ended, and we still are going out, happy and strong. :)
