Telepathy... now there is a super power that could fit into a super science/magic setting. I don't see a time issue here, but if Stan wants to add a second character into HUNT ... this could be a good deal.

The picture, looks a little like the one in the link, a little too much. The story, very cute, but doesn't stand out. I keep seeing the essay thing. I think you have a lovely character design, if you tweak the story, and picture you have a good shot at being a winner.

Yeah, afraid your going to have bow this one out of the competition... Tracing/copying another image, even if you alter it slightly like you did here, doesn't qualify anything as "original"...
Just draw up something else and replace the image. You're obviously capable; just put some time and originality into it.

Actually, I've never seen that before but they probably have the same drawing book as I do. I didn't trace anything but the book I have shows you how to draw a person in that stance and thats the only one I'm good at so I did it.

It'd be really nice if you could get a straight on view of the character, but the drawing looks good.
I like how the story starts. But it seems like you set up for something and then never told us what the something is... Maybe you could at least hint at what might happen after Terry brings her back, just to give the story some weight...

I think you mean "Jane" toward the end of the story, in the last paragraph...? Instead of Charity.

Hero, villain, or regular person?
Summary
Terry has a paper on the Qin Dynasty emperor so he travels back in time instead of hitting the books, but he accidently lands in the Emperor's underground mausoleum where he is buried with statues of his army and his rarest treasures. Before fixing his mistake he hears music coming from the main chambers and he finds her. ChenChen explains how she was her masters prized possession b/c she could hear thoughts and she is immortal. Instead of leaving her there buried alive, he takes her back to his time and to help his time travels.
