Embarrassing mistake with a ring and glass of champagne.
This one time I was on a date with this realy nice girl. It was only our 6th date, and it had been less then a month. We were eating in a nice restaurant, there was a couple sitting two tables down from ours, and the guy had asked a waiter to put the ring in a class of champagne to purpose to this girlfriend. However the glass was sent to us by mistake. And when the girl I was with saw it she was so shocked. It was the most awkward thing that had ever happend to me. But after we had sorted it all outwe were able to have a nice date. But the entire rest of the date was still slightly awkward.

As for the ring, why would someone be so happy about a ring when they 've only been going out 6 times?

OMG. now i don't think i'd ever be able to trust a waiter. giving an ENGAGEMENT RING to the wrong person?! terrible!

Well, I guess it would be. I don't see why guys put the ring in the drink. I'm always afraid the girl will choke! Personally, I want the traditional, down-on-one-knee proposal.
