A Me and A You
A Me and A You
Its more of a slam poem, but could be said as a rap...
Once, there was a me, be, being, existing, living my life, my way, No way! To bend, conform, submit to others, thoughts, styles, trends. Just a Me.
There was a you, two, three, in a crowd. LOUD! Like a mob demanding my attention, pulling me in.
With your bright clothes, my creative eyes, eye to eye we saw, similar were. Understanding you understanding me, simply standing together, under the rain.
Ah, together, you and me, me and you! And thus, us is created, born, born again, to love, promise of forever! This life time and the next, we would be...we...
But this "Forever" that you speak of... Does it only mean "A Moment"? For really, it is all that we, this special "Us", would last. But, mmm, what a last it was.
So again, there is a me, be, being, existing, but only just.
And there is a you, two, three, lost in the crowd, lost in self.
Really, the you that is lost to me, never to see a you and me, of us two.
One, can only Hope...
