About Me
Me In Under 180 Words
Chillin' like a villain. Sans weaponry. And, um... sans evil/coolness. Awwww.... I like to travel outside the country, teach stuff, play online, and read books. I can be anti-social pretty often. Um, my quirks are that I hate telephones and hamburgers. And pork. I mean, I don't like them - I'll phone people sometimes, and I'll occasionally have a hamburger or pork if I'm starving or there's a social obligation to do so, but if I can, I avoid these three things. I type, and I feel entertained, and I don't feel entertained. That's about it.

The millions of books, authors, wannabe books, wannabe authors, and those that just happen to get written. And some cable TV shows. Except those things that aren't very good. You know.

In My Spare Time
I hog as much internet as I can. I'm in love with Gaiaonline.com as well as T180. I spend a lot of time thinking that I should be working on improving myself, and sometimes that results in some sort of hare-brained scheme that I give up rather immediately on in favor of goofing off some more. Oh! Recently, I do a lot of pondering about language and how people learn foreign languages. I would love to be able to create a kind of Rosetta Stone for language learning that anyone can apply to their life at any time and thus be the better for it. Isn't language AMAZING??

My Guilty Pleasures
Anime and manga. The really girly stuff that, like, pre-teens buy. I'm such a sucker for that junk. What's that, you say? "Anime and manga are cool, not something to feel guilty about?" Oh, no, my friend. It's not a matter of liking the cool stuff - I do. I'm a total Narutard and Bleamaniach and all that. That's not my guilty pleasure. My guilty pleasures are along the lines of still obsessing over "Sailor Moon" and similar incarnations, such as "Gakuen Alice," "Daa! Daa! Daa!" and "Glass Mask." I'm such a fool!!

Too many, so here's what I'm currently reading: "Secrets of a Fire King" by Kim Edwards & "We Are the Stories We Tell" edited by Wendy Martin. They're both collections of short stories. Kim Edwards' voice is fantastic as she draws you into these worlds of people who live disconnected from their surroundings or the community. Each story is a new take on the theme of "isolation." The latter book carries a smattering of some of the BEST female authors' short stories of the 20th century and are in chronological order so you can get a sense of how time has influenced the short story as well as the female voice.

From all the comments below I am surprised that you havent realised that giving low ratings dosen't improve your chances of winning, it just makes people not like you. Please either delete your rating, or leave a reason why you gave both my submissions one star.

OOh, I have realized. I knew from Day 1 that low ratings are not happy things. But some things deserve high ratings, and some things deserve low ones in my book. It's nothing personal - I mark challenges without looking at who is doing the submitting. I may mark you high once, and then mark you low on another submission.
I'm not trying to win, sweetheart. Nor am I really submitting, as of late. Dang it, real life! :<
And I don't care what people think about me. Like me or don't, you're free to love and hate as you please. Just realize I'm free to do so to - regarding everyone's submissions. :D (Although Hate is incredibly rare. It's more like Love and Lukewarm Feelings.)
I believe the truth is important, and I'm not going to lie to you just because I want you to like me. :P
